Position Overview
The Nurse Educator for Acute Care is responsible for enhancing the educational framework within the Acute Care setting. This role involves the design, development, implementation, and assessment of educational programs tailored to adult learning methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and clinical staff to foster professional growth and competency in nursing practice.
- Utilize expertise to improve nursing practices across various service lines and hospital-wide initiatives.
- Evaluate educational outcomes and adjust programs to meet the evolving needs of nursing staff.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or equivalent professional knowledge in nursing or a related field is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is mandatory, with a Master's degree or enrollment in a Master's program expected within two years of employment.
- National Certification in Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development, or ASTD is required.
- Previous experience in education or teaching is preferred, alongside 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Must possess a valid Maryland Registered Nurse License and certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
