Rheumatology Physician Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Rheumatologist to join our team at Family Health Centers of San Diego. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an outpatient setting, with no nights or weekends required.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide specialty medical services to patients, working under the direction of our Chief Medical Officer. As a leader and provider for our organization, you will be committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and supportive services to all individuals, with a special focus on uninsured, low-income, and medically underserved populations.
Responsibilities- Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with department standards and electronic medical record requirements.
- FOLLOW FHCSD policies and procedures, including cooperation with credentialing and licensing paperwork, maintenance of CME units, attendance at mandatory meetings, and efficient use of resources.
- Maintain FHCSD behavioral standards, including effective listening and communication skills and respectful interactions with colleagues and patients.
- Achieve productivity expectations and maintain satisfactory peer reviews, assessing medical information to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention.
- Meet clinic site and organization needs in a reliable and flexible manner, prioritizing work and adhering to schedule.
- Participate in Clinical Outcomes Program and work towards meeting organizational targets for all metrics.
- Participate in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills reviewed and managed appropriately.
- Participate in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner.
- Ability and means to travel as needed within San Diego County.
- Board certified in Rheumatology.
- DEA license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine.
- Current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California if applicable.
- 1 year experience working in Rheumatology required; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly desired.
- Knowledge of and ability to take a detailed medical history.
$250,000 - $350,000 per year
