Senior Buyer Job Description

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our Purchasing Team in Peterborough, NH.

The ideal candidate will support the department and company's financial goals, including manufacturing productivity, material cost, and product quality. Key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, coordinate, and execute complex purchase requests in accordance with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to improve cost, quality, delivery, and other key performance metrics.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Solicit and prepare requests for information, quotes, and proposals.
  • Negotiate supply agreements for pricing, terms, and schedules.
  • Lead root cause investigations of defective supplied material.
  • Support department and organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
  • Proven analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills.
