We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Wine Associate to join our team at Gold Standard Enterprises, Inc.

About the Role:

As a Wine Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting fine wines and providing exceptional customer service. You will also be involved in developing sales and continuing to develop your knowledge of wine and other store products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Assist customers in selecting fine wines and provide exceptional customer service to drive sales.
  • Product Knowledge: Continuously develop knowledge of wine and other store products to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Store Operations: Work as part of a team to maintain a well-organized and effectively merchandised wine department, including moving, stocking, and staging product.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Knowledge: Have a good working knowledge of wine varietals, countries, and regions.
  • Tasting: Be able to taste wines in a professional manner for educational purposes.
  • Lifting: Be able to lift 40-50 pounds.
  • Schedule: Be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Customer Service: Have a strong desire to provide superior customer service.
  • Experience: Previous retail experience, experience in the wine and spirits industry, or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Training: Ability to learn and follow company procedures and protocols.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and managers.
  • Attendance: Consistent and regular attendance is required.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $16.25-$18.00+ based on availability and experience. We also provide on-the-job training and educational opportunities to further a career in wine retail.
