Job Summary

Georgetown Community Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. As a Surgical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN): Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
  • Registered Nurse, KY or Compact State RN License: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire: Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire: Required
