Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at West Fraser, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support for all financial decisions, supervising and developing office staff, and managing the month-end close process and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting and analysis, including budget preparation, forecasting, and inventory analysis.
  • Support the timely and accurate reporting of financial, operational, and statistical data.
  • Manage the month-end close process and reporting, general ledger reconciliations, and account analyses.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to improve business operations.
  • Supervise and develop office staff, including training and coaching.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Oracle financial systems and SOX compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle pressure and adapt to changing workloads.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
