Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in our MedSurg Ortho department at Northwest Medical Center. As a member of our healthcare team, you will work under the clinical direction of a registered nurse (RN) to provide a variety of delegated patient care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Assist with vital sign measurements, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Perform basic nursing skills, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming patients.
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility.
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Requirements:
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous healthcare experience preferred.
