Job Summary:

The University of the District of Columbia is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Program Director for its Respiratory Therapy program. This is a tenure-track position that requires a strong academic background, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the program's curriculum and assessment plan.
  • Lead the program's accreditation efforts and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor faculty and staff to ensure the program's success.
  • Collaborate with other departments and programs to promote interdisciplinary education and research.
  • Develop and manage the program's budget and resources.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field and a valid RRT credential.
  • At least four years of experience in clinical respiratory care and teaching in an accredited program.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic environment.
