Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. This role involves providing essential intraoperative support to the surgical team by preparing and monitoring surgical instruments, maintaining a sterile environment, assisting with patient positioning, and executing various surgical tasks.
- Candidates should have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program or completed military training in surgical technology.
- Flexible employment options are available, including full-time and part-time positions.
- Opportunities are present within our surgical departments.
- This role demands a fast-paced approach to intraoperative care.
- Reports directly to the Manager of Surgical Services.
- Competitive base hourly wage with eligibility for a sign-on bonus.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or current enrollment with expected graduation within nine months of hire is required. Alternatively, military training in surgical technology is acceptable.
- Documentation such as a DD214 is necessary to validate military training.
- In Illinois, a High School Diploma or GED along with three years of experience as a Surgical Technologist may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- An Associate's degree in surgical technology is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred.
