Position Overview:
Queensbury Union Free School District is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time role as a Speech Therapist. This position is essential in supporting students with their communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication challenges in students.
- Design and execute personalized treatment plans and intervention techniques.
- Conduct therapy sessions with students, either individually or in small groups.
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and other staff to enhance student development.
- Keep precise and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress updates.
- Engage in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and assist in setting student objectives.
- Stay informed about the latest practices and developments in the field of speech therapy through ongoing professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid New York State Certification in Speech or Speech & Language Disabilities (all grades) or Speech & Hearing Handicapped.
