Job Summary:

Genna Benna's is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Host to join our team. As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, seating them in a timely and efficient manner, and ensuring that they have a positive experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Experience: Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome, ensuring that they have a positive experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Seating and Table Management: Seat guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that tables are clean and ready for service.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with guests, servers, and other staff members to ensure that their needs are met and that they have a positive experience.
  • Phone and To-Go Orders: Answer phone calls and take to-go orders in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the host stand, tables, and surrounding areas.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure that guests receive excellent service and that the restaurant runs smoothly.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Have a strong knowledge of the menu, wine list, and other restaurant offerings, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: No previous restaurant experience required, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
