Responsibilities:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN). This position offers the chance to gain practical experience and engage in meaningful civil engineering projects.

This internship provides invaluable exposure to diverse facets of civil engineering, enabling you to apply your academic insights to real-world scenarios and cultivate essential skills for your professional journey.


Work alongside our seasoned engineers to support the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering initiatives, including site development, infrastructure, and transportation.

Gather, analyze, and interpret data pertinent to project specifications, environmental assessments, and material evaluations.

Employ computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop and adjust engineering drawings, schematics, and plans.

Participate in site evaluations and inspections, assisting in surveying, measurements, and construction oversight.

Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and progress updates.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, contractors, and clients, to ensure project objectives are achieved effectively.

Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Strong academic performance in engineering courses.

Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software is advantageous.

Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A genuine enthusiasm for learning and a robust work ethic.

Knowledge or interest in water supply and transmission systems is a plus.
