Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Bistro Server to join our team at White Lodging. As a Bistro Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders, and preparing/delivering food and beverage orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service/Point of Sale: Greet all guests in a courteous and friendly manner, accurately and quickly take, enter, prepare and deliver guest orders according to standards, respond to guest needs and provide the highest level of quality service.
- Counter Sales/Food Preparation: Answer all questions about menu items, specials, and prices, familiar with preparation methods and ingredients to meet guests' dietary/allergy questions, actively up-sell food and beverage items to maximize revenue.
- Barista/Beverage Duties: Brew coffee and prepare coffee/other drinks according to specific recipes, assist Bartender when necessary with serving alcoholic beverages, and follow local liquor laws.
- Bussing/Cleaning: Responsible for disposal of garbage, picking up trays, re-stocking dishes on the line, and clearing/wiping down tables and counter, transfer full dish tubs to the dish room, and assist as needed with washing dishes.
- Paperwork: Complete all required paperwork in an accurately and timely manner, assist with inventory, complete inventory par sheets, and other responsibilities as needed.
- Safety/Risk Management: Maintain a clean and safe work area, and handle all food/beverage in compliance with White Lodging, brand, local, state and federal regulations, assist in maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the Bistro, kitchen, and dish room, follow all appropriate procedures for guest/associate incidents.
- Self-Management: Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties, adhere to White Lodging grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures, attend all required department and hotel meetings.
- Miscellaneous/Other Duties: Complete all required side work, and take initiative to assist wherever necessary, work as a team player and actively contribute to the success of the Bistro experience.
Requirements:
- Must pass certification quiz/test for position.
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Complete Chemical Training and Blood borne Pathogen Training.
Working Conditions: Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
