Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse at UVA Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Manage care and implement treatment plans at a refined skill level, seeking feedback for improved clinical practice.
- Assume a beginning leadership role and seek mentoring in this process.
- Participate in shared governance and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
- Engage in performance improvement activities and commit to standard work.
- Apply technologies that support patient care and actively seek to implement evidence-based practice and new knowledge generated by nursing research.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- 1 year of relevant experience.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
