Executive Pastry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pastry chef to join our team at The Millbrook Inn LLC, a 9-bedroom upscale boutique hotel located in the heart of the Hudson Valley.

The successful candidate will work closely with our owner and chef to create seasonal desserts and baked goods that meet the high standards of our award-winning property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bake and decorate beautiful and tasteful desserts for our guests.
• Develop and execute creative dessert menus in collaboration with our chef.
• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all pastry dishes.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pastry chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including yeast doughs, quickbreads, and short pastry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with commercial gas ranges, griddles, and other kitchen equipment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
