Position Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor will manage the general ledger accounting team to ensure the timely execution of essential tasks, including month-end closing, variance analysis, adherence to SOX compliance, and accurate financial reporting. EVgo is looking for a highly skilled individual who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and integrity in their work. This role will focus on the preparation and review of various accruals, variance analysis for selected GL accounts, reconciliations, assistance with month-end activities, and oversight of the T&E and escheatment programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the monthly financial closing process for the general ledger accounting team, ensuring compliance with established deadlines, including but not limited to:
  • Ensure that transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed, and supported in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP; collaborate with the Reporting and Technical Accounting team to ensure significant/unusual transactions are accurately accounted for per U.S. GAAP
  • Reconcile and/or review general ledger accounts and roll-forward schedules; investigate and resolve variances promptly
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Conduct timely data analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Collaborate with FP&A and IT teams to determine intercompany revenue and cost allocations to respective subsidiaries
  • Contribute to the monthly closing process, including bank reconciliations, accruals, journal entry postings, etc.
  • Oversee and review the daily activities and outputs of onshore and offshore staff teams
  • Assist with the implementation of company-wide initiatives, including support for ongoing implementation and testing of new financial systems
  • Review and/or prepare quarterly and year-end audit schedules as requested by external auditors; provide necessary audit support
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's internal controls over financial reporting, identifying and addressing any deficiencies
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and analyses as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (required)
  • CPA or highly qualified CPA candidate preferred
  • Experience with Travel & Expense and any T&E software.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth, results-oriented environment, with a blend of public and corporate experience highly desired
  • 2+ years of experience in accruals and GL variance analysis
  • Experience in a public company and proper implementation of internal controls highly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and management communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy; highly resourceful with a proactive attitude
  • Advanced Excel proficiency including advanced quantitative/data functions
  • Deadline-oriented with excellent time management skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and compliance requirements
For positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this role is $115,000 USD to $125,000 USD. Actual salary may vary based on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, we offer discretionary target cash bonuses, restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, unlimited paid time off including parental leave, and a 401(k).
