Job Summary:

The LXP Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, supplies, and personnel. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Analyze data to plan and develop logistics programs, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and customer specifications.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling of materials, and inventory integrity.
  • Train and develop warehouse staff, ensuring they are properly trained on each station of the logistics cycle and certified on all equipment.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other departments, such as sales, transportation, and installation.
  • Ensure all employees work in conformance with State and Federal guidelines while in the warehouse facility.
Requirements:
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license required.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience preferred.
  • Proven organizational and follow-through skills required.
  • Proven leadership ability skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed to support the team and meet customer expectations.
Working Conditions:

The Warehouse Supervisor will be required to spend several hours per day standing, often operating machinery such as an order picker or pallet wrapper. The ability to lift 50+ lbs and utilize proper equipment when lifting items of greater weights is necessary. The position may require working nights, weekends, and holidays on occasion.

Education and Experience:

A valid North Carolina driver's license is required. A minimum of 5 years related experience is preferred. Proven organizational and follow-through skills are required, as well as proven leadership ability skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and work extra hours as needed to support the team and meet customer expectations is also required.

Language Skills:

The Warehouse Supervisor must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is also required. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is necessary.

Mathematical Skills:

The Warehouse Supervisor must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs is also required.

Reasoning Ability:

The Warehouse Supervisor must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is necessary.
