Probate Attorney Position at Sage Solutions Group

Job Summary

Sage Solutions Group is seeking a skilled probate attorney to join our team of experienced professionals in the field of probate, estate planning, and elder law. This role is responsible for managing a caseload from start to finish, including client meetings, drafting, filing, and serving pleadings, and regular court appearances.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of Michigan probate law and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in probate litigation and estate planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with clients to discuss their probate needs and develop a plan to address them
  • Drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents
  • Representing clients in court and negotiating with opposing counsel
  • Managing client expectations and communicating regularly with clients
  • Staying up-to-date on changes in probate law and regulations

Requirements

  • Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Field Experience: 3 years of experience in probate law, with a focus on wills, trusts, and guardianships
  • Software Experience: Proficiency in legal case management software
