The Role

We are seeking an experienced Primary Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide consultation, case management, and therapy services to individuals affected by serious eating disorders. Your expertise will be essential in assessing clients, determining referral needs, and formulating treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions adapted to each client's needs.
  • Document client progress and communicate with the outpatient team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in regular training and supervisions to maintain professional development.
  • Collaborate with direct care staff to support clients and manage milieu conflicts.
  • Provide crisis stabilization and 'check-ins' as needed to ensure client safety.
  • Assist with on-call coverage during assigned times.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work, Clinical Counseling, or relevant health-related discipline.
  • Two years of experience working with eating disordered clients or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligibility for registration with relevant professional associations.
  • Ability to educate and consult with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and treatment guidelines.
