Job Summary

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified Part-Time Biology Instructor to join our team. As a Biology Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching fundamental concepts of Biology to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Biology courses to students, including lectures, discussions, and laboratory sessions.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, including office hours and tutoring.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of Biology and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into your teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and other educational programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in Biology, preferably at the community college level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Ability to use technology, including learning management systems, to support teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a focus on creating an inclusive learning environment.
