Job Overview

Sunlite Plastics, a division of Diversatek, Inc., is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant – 1st Shift to support our Medical Tubing Division in Wisconsin. This full-time role involves the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upkeep of production machinery, as well as the maintenance of our facilities and grounds. The ideal candidate will possess a solid blend of mechanical and electrical expertise.

Work Schedule: 7am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct repairs on equipment and buildings.
  • Respond promptly to production interruptions.
  • Set up tooling and machinery as required.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Utilize computer systems to generate and manage purchase orders, maintenance records, and repair logs.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and regulations.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Able to interpret manuals, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with PLCs and electronic controls is advantageous.
  • Experience with extrusion or industrial machinery is beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
Education and Experience:
  • Technical, Associate's, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in facilities and equipment maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to walk, bend, stoop, balance, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to use arms and hands for reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, and moving various materials.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
