Nurse Care Coordinator

At Albany Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a compassionate and caring environment, providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with colleagues to achieve outstanding results.
About the RoleThis Clinical Nurse II will be responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong nursing judgment and be able to assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. They will also be able to provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered, and collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain standards of professional nursing. A graduate of a professional academic nursing program and current NYS Registered Nurse license are required.
Key Responsibilities- Implement physician orders and administer medications
- Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
- Document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
