Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver compassionate and individualized care to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing to evaluate resident status.
  • Develop and implement care plans that address the physical and psychosocial needs of residents, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents, and respond effectively to emergent situations.
  • Document resident interactions, outcomes, and care provided, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and family members to provide education and support on prevention and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
