About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at St. Joseph Medical Center. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in facilitating the rehabilitation of our patients, promoting their physical and mental well-being, and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs to meet the diverse needs of our patients.
  • Conduct individual and group activities, such as games, social events, and creative pursuits, to promote socialization, creativity, and relaxation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive care and support.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust programs as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience in a behavioral healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
