Survey Technician

Larson Design Group is seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join our team. As a Survey Technician, you will assist the Survey Party Chief in collecting field data and information needed for survey maps and CAD documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate surveying equipment, including GPS, Total Station, level, and data collector, to collect data for survey preparation.
- Assist in construction layouts by coordinating data and setting stakes.
- Obtain invert and subsurface utility information.
- Document project areas through photography.
- Review and maintain equipment inventory, reporting any issues to the Survey Party Chief.
- Ensure company field vehicles are properly stocked, clean, and organized.
- Recommend process improvements and stay up-to-date on surveying best practices.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying Technology or related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in surveying or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of land surveying fundamentals, including measurements, math, algebra, trigonometry, deed interpretation, and plan interpretation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
