We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Neonatal Nurse to join our team at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. As a Per Diem Neonatal Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications.
- EPIC experience required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and float to other units as needed.
- Patient Diagnosis: Prematurity, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn, Sepsis; Presumed Sepsis, Feeding Intolerance, ELBW from 23/24 weeks, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Late preterm, Poor feeding, Hypoglycemia, Genetic abnormalities.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Cue-based feeding, Donor Human Milk, Prolacta Human-milk-based human milk fortifier, Umbilical central lines, PICC lines, Chest tubes, Passive cooling, Therapeutic Hypothermia.
- Special Equipment: Conventional ventilation, Non-invasive ventilation, NAVA, HFOV, Jet ventilation, NIRS, Hi-flow nasal cannula, Angeleye patient cameras.
