Job Overview

ONSITE POSITION


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accountability of Government Hand Receipt accounts utilizing the Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS) alongside the Army's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-A), ensuring compliance with all Property Book Office (PBO) regulatory standards.
  • Effectively manage the loading and unloading of transported assets for shipping and receiving, including delivery and setup, as a certified vehicle and equipment operator, conducting Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) on Government Owned Vehicles (GOV), forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Advise on inventory management and accountability procedures for hand receipt accounts.
  • Conduct assessments of property locations and document inputs for equipment and assets.
  • Handle property additions, turn-ins, lateral transfers, and maintain tracking for cyclic, sensitive items, and annual inventories; manage shipping, receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, delivery, and setup of organizational and installation property.
  • Coordinate and follow up to ensure that transactions submitted to the Property Book Officer are recorded accurately and promptly, escalating unresolved issues to the designated Government contact.
  • Ensure all managed assets are maintained properly, secured against loss or damage, and that property records are established and maintained in accordance with AR 710-2, DA PAM, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform comprehensive inventories of hand-receipted property and provide supporting documentation for inventory results; conduct independent analyses to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Identify found-on-post and excess equipment, determining accountability requirements in accordance with AR 735-5.
  • Participate in Integrated Process/Product Teams (IPTs) and other scheduled meetings.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience includes:
    • Inventory Management
    • Handling of property including receiving, storing, requesting, transferring, issuing, and turning in assets
    • Familiarity with ASTS and GCSS-A
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure setting.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • This role may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The candidate must be capable of lifting and/or moving items exceeding 50 pounds.
