Job Summary

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician / Scientist to join our team in a full-time role. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex laboratory procedures, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Laboratory Procedures: Conduct complex laboratory procedures across various disciplines, including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood bank.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results by operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
  • Analyze and Interpret Data: Analyze and interpret laboratory data, maintaining high standards of quality control and assurance.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Certification: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) through ASCP or equivalent accrediting agency.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) such as Epic Beaker and SoftBank is highly desirable.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
