Position Overview:

Type: Full-time

Schedule: 40 hours/week with variable day shifts and rotating weekends

Location: Onsite

Incentive: $2,000 Sign-on bonus (taxable)

Role Summary:
Assist in evaluating, planning, and delivering patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, providing fundamental bedside assistance to patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in collecting patient information for assessment by RN or Provider
  • Observe patients and report any unusual findings to medical personnel
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
  • Conduct routine laboratory tests
  • Educate patients and their families about care procedures
  • Support the orientation of new staff members, sharing expertise and insights
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Follow established Patient Safety Goals
  • Contribute to operational tasks to improve patient care
  • Perform additional delegated duties as required

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) is advantageous
  • Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical
  • Previous experience in a Physician Office environment is beneficial
  • Phlebotomy skills are a plus

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
  • Valid Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • BLS certification (through American Heart Association AHA)
  • At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred
