Position Overview:
Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40 hours/week with variable day shifts and rotating weekends
Location: Onsite
Incentive: $2,000 Sign-on bonus (taxable)
Role Summary:
Assist in evaluating, planning, and delivering patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, providing fundamental bedside assistance to patients across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting patient information for assessment by RN or Provider
- Observe patients and report any unusual findings to medical personnel
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects
- Conduct routine laboratory tests
- Educate patients and their families about care procedures
- Support the orientation of new staff members, sharing expertise and insights
- Ensure accurate record-keeping
- Follow established Patient Safety Goals
- Contribute to operational tasks to improve patient care
- Perform additional delegated duties as required
Required Skills:
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) is advantageous
- Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical
- Previous experience in a Physician Office environment is beneficial
- Phlebotomy skills are a plus
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
- Valid Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- BLS certification (through American Heart Association AHA)
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred
