Job Summary:
Cynet Health is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown setting. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with a cohesive team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide care in a stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4.
- Respond to rapid changes in patient conditions and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage drips (nitroglycerin, heparin, cardizem, nicardipine, amiodarone, insulin, dopamine, esmolol, labetalol, milrinone, argatroban, aggrostat).
- Collaborate with in-house hospitalists and intensivists, as well as 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy teams.
- Required familiarity with EPIC charting system.
- Float to different facilities within the assigned region as necessary.
- Participate in a comprehensive orientation, which includes policy and procedure training and working with a preceptor.
- Manage cases including CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain, ACS, CHF, renal failure, respiratory distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, cardiac procedures, and more.
- Experience with Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) is a plus.
- Every other weekend and holiday availability required.
- Engagement in reading telemetry strips and working with remote telemetry techs is expected.
- The unit has a high patient turnover, thus requiring quick adaptability and efficient work processes.
- Participate in a welcoming and cohesive team that integrates travel nurses effectively.
Additional Requirements:
- Phlebotomy services are available 24/7.
- Charge nurses and nurse aides are available as support, with a CNA ratio of 1:8-12.
- RT and IV teams are accessible for assistance during designated hours.
