Position Overview:
As a Senior RF Performance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the optimization and enhancement of our regional cellular network. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the RF Design and overall performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive drive tests and post-processing analyses using advanced tools such as DMAT, XCAL, and QXDM. Collaborate closely with the performance team to identify and address network issues, while working alongside System Performance and RF teams to enhance throughput and minimize call drops and ineffective attempts.
Execute drive testing to assess potential search area candidates, perform radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition, and begin to pinpoint specific needs for new cell installations by considering baseline performance, capacity, and demographic factors. Evaluate coverage and capacity challenges and requirements for new cells.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience in the telecommunications sector, is required.
Technical Proficiencies:
Demonstrated knowledge of voice cell infrastructure, including systems from Lucent, NOKIA, Samsung, and Ericsson; familiarity with digital communication technologies such as 5GNR, LTE, VoLTE, and CDMA; proficiency in operating systems and applications including UNIX, Windows, and MS Office; and experience with test equipment such as XCAL, Viavi, PCTEL, and spectrum analyzers. Understanding of RF system optimization techniques for voice and data is essential.
Candidates should possess a solid grasp of engineering principles and exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow within a technical domain.
Qualifications:Required Skills:
Proficiency in office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience is essential.
Essential Skills:
Expertise in Google Sheets/PowerPoint, data collection tools (such as DMAT or similar), and RF Drive Testing.
Compensation Details:
The compensation range provided is the base hourly pay that Aditi Consulting anticipates for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on various factors, including qualifications, skills, experience, and client requirements.
