Perioperative Nurse Specialist

The Operating Room Nurse I is a highly skilled professional nurse who provides exceptional patient care in the perioperative setting. This role requires a flexible and self-directed RN who can work in any phase of the perioperative setting and float between areas as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care of surgical patients
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-and family centered care
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice guidelines
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of one year of experience in the perioperative setting (OR, PACU, or Pre-Op)
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Alabama
- Current BLS certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification required
