Job Overview

At Texas State Technical College (TSTC), we are committed to providing our students with the highest quality of education and training. We are seeking a qualified CDL Trainer to join our team and help us achieve our goal of excellence in transportation industry education.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity in all interactions with students, staff, and the community.
  • Teach students the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the commercial vehicle and driving exams and obtain a career in the transportation industry.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback to help them achieve their goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in commercial driver training.
  • Participate in discipline committee or program meetings and activities as needed.

Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of professional driving experience.
  • A CDL Class A Instructor License from a state approving agency (as applicable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
