Speech-Language Pathologist Job Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and treating individuals with various speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses.
  • Provide speech and language services to clients, monitoring disease progression and adjusting treatments accordingly.
  • Instruct clients in practicing speech and language therapeutic exercises.
  • Consult with clients working through speech and language treatment processes.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment.
