The Clinical Pharmacist I provides clinical pharmacy services to patients in a correctional healthcare setting. This role requires close collaboration with medical professionals to promote rational and cost-effective drug therapy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides clinical pharmacy services using approved protocols in collaboration with other health professionals.
- Manages patient drug therapy and provides patient education.
- Educates providers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals on pharmaceutical care.
- Travel is required to provide services at various correctional facilities.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a licentiate in pharmacy issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
- Applicants who completed their education outside of the US must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency.
