Description:

The JF Petroleum Group is a leading provider of comprehensive turn-key solutions for the North American fueling infrastructure industry. We serve a diverse clientele, including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers.

The Construction Foreman plays a critical role in ensuring the prompt and efficient progress of work on the job site. This individual determines priorities for work to be done, often based on needs communicated by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment, including track hoes, backhoes, and rental equipment, to install sheet piling and other project materials.
  • Direct and run projects, including piping and tank installation, to ensure timely and profitable completion.
  • Communicate with the Installation Manager to address specific requirements for completing projects safely and efficiently.
  • Interact with customers or their onsite representatives to discuss project requirements and issues.
  • Read and understand applicable plans, specifications, environmental regulations, fire and building codes, and enforce compliance on the job site.
  • Attend pre-construction meetings, safety meetings, and selected training sessions as directed by the Installation Manager.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, including test results, inspections, progress updates, visitor logs, and potential schedule disruptions.
  • Set an example for crew members by reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Supervise daily crew activities and plan for the next day.
  • Train crew members to take on increasing responsibilities.
  • Enforce mandatory safety rules, identify potential hazards, and correct them.
  • Require the use of personal protective equipment and hold weekly job-site safety meetings.
  • Maintain a positive company image by ensuring crew members' personal appearance, vehicle cleanliness, and job site organization.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in piping and products is mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a construction truck and tow small trailers.
  • Meet company employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR (if driving for the company).
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours per day.
