Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily needs, promoting independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Daily Living Needs: Assist individuals with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and other daily living activities.
  • Encourage Independence: Foster a supportive environment that encourages individuals to make their own decisions and take ownership of their lives.
  • Develop Meaningful Relationships: Build strong relationships with individuals, their families, and our team to ensure a seamless support system.
  • Provide Behavioral Support: Assist individuals with behavioral challenges and develop strategies to promote positive behaviors.
  • Document Progress: Maintain accurate records of individual progress and participate in regular team meetings to discuss support plans.

Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Skills: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible, and excellent communication skills.
  • Vehicle: Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
