Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide exceptional patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care and services, including patient counseling and other health services.
  • Perform duties as assigned and supervised by the pharmacist, including reviewing and processing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Assist with inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including restocking supplies and ensuring the pharmacy is stocked with adequate supplies.
Requirements
  • Must be enrolled in a school of Pharmacy program.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
  • Prefer good math skills so you can fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring and weighing.
