We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and as directed by the Radiation Physicist and Dosimetrist.
- Interpret the prescription and treatment plan; Complete Patient Identification processes per department procedure.
- Maintain audio and visual surveillance of the patient during treatment; Consistently and accurately position the patient for treatment; Image patient as directed by the Radiation Oncologist.
- Consistently and accurately annotate portal images as appropriate; Observe patient for side-effects of radiation, changes in behavior, or unusual reactions and report observations to the Radiation Oncologist, nurse, or supervisor.
- Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program required; Bachelors of Science in Radiation Therapy preferred.
- ARRT National Radiology License required 6 Months from date of hire.
- Basic Life Support via AHA required 6 Months from date of hire.
- Minimum of one (1) year Radiation Therapy experience preferred.
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) State licensure required.
