Key Responsibilities
- Act as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients within your area of expertise.
- Manage incoming patient triage to ensure adherence to established admission criteria and direct appointments and referrals accordingly.
- Design, implement, and assess standards of practice and care for the patient demographic.
- Exhibit proficiency in the clinical skills necessary for fulfilling assigned responsibilities.
- Maintain a tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, lab tests, and procedures to monitor patient health status.
- Address inquiries and provide education to patients and their families.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the patient's electronic health record using standardized processes.
- Possess a thorough understanding of lab and procedure results and their implications for patient care, taking appropriate actions within your scope of practice.
- Oversee the development and ongoing coordination of patient care.
- Serve as a consultant within the organization and to external agencies or groups.
- Collaborate with individuals, families, community organizations, and colleagues from related disciplines.
- Facilitate or participate in research initiatives and apply findings to nursing practice.
- Obtain preauthorization for care and procedures from insurance providers.
- Stay informed about departmental and organizational updates by attending meetings and reviewing communications.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to enhancing quality and customer service, striving to exceed expectations.
- Balance individual and team responsibilities, remain open to diverse perspectives, and contribute to team objectives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Administrator to ensure efficient office operations.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- CPR certification.
- Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Ability to lead others and exercise judgment in challenging situations.
- Creative thinking and strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Experience with data entry.
- Familiarity with standard equipment necessary for the role.
