**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Specialist to join our team at Triumph. As a Data Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and implementing solutions for our client's Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data cleansing from multiple database sources, working closely with stakeholders as needed.
  • Help define data ownership and develop a comprehensive data dictionary.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and document data-related processes.
  • Help define and implement data retention policies and procedures in accordance with Virginia State regulations and stakeholder needs.
  • Support database performance by monitoring, evaluating, and suggesting resolution for processing and programming problems.
  • Secure database by preparing access and control policies and procedures and implementing disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience operating within a software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in analysis implementation (10 years preferred).
  • Expertise in Database Querying (SQL and/or Oracle).
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively approach and solve situations.
  • Well-developed analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining a data dictionary.
  • Strong background in at least one area: Fiscal, IT, HR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Database Querying (SQL, Oracle and/or Crystal).
  • Understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
  • Task entry and tracking via Jira (preferred).
  • Adept at report writing and presenting findings.
