About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst & Educator to join our team at UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper. As a key member of our Compliance and Privacy Office, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's compliance with federal healthcare laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and reviews of billing and coding practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs for billing providers and departments to enhance their knowledge and skills in compliance and coding.
  • Collaborate with compliance and operational staff across UVA Health entities to ensure effective communication and coordination of compliance efforts.
  • Prepare and present reports to the Compliance Committee, highlighting key findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure our organization remains compliant and competitive.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or compliance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in compliance audit and/or investigation in a physician and/or hospital billing environment.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
