Job Title: Operating Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Trinity Health FirstChoice. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of practice settings and experience different hospitals within the Trinity Health system.

Job Summary:

The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room setting. This includes preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and monitoring patients during and after surgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing theory and practice, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and developing individualized care plans.
  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during and after surgery.
  • Provide post-operative care, including wound care and pain management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure in the state where working.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent OR clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age-specific needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
