We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Apache Kafka Developer to join our team at Resource Informatics Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and operating solutions with relational databases, as well as experience with AWS services and Terraform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop Apache Kafka-based data streaming solutions
  • Implement and maintain AWS MSK (Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) clusters
  • Develop and deploy Terraform infrastructure as code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with RDBMS using JDBC connectors
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering
  • Strong background in relational databases (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server)
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3, VPC, VPN, TGW)
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform
  • Strong track record of implementing AWS services in distributed computing environments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Apache Kafka internals, cluster design, optimization, monitoring, schema registry, and schema evolution
  • Extensive experience with messaging and stream processing on Kafka
  • Excellent understanding of SQL and Python for data processing
  • Understanding of Data Modeling concepts and RDBMS Database design
