Community Assessment & Treatment Services is seeking a dedicated Residential Safety & Security Specialist to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents, employees, and visitors.

Reporting directly to the Program Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and supportive environment conducive to treatment and rehabilitation. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of duties, including:

  • Supervising drug and alcohol testing procedures.
  • Managing visitation protocols and ensuring adherence to facility guidelines.
  • Overseeing recreational activities and promoting resident engagement.
  • Coordinating laundry services and maintaining cleanliness standards within the residential areas.
  • Arranging transportation for residents as needed.
  • Implementing effective operational procedures and supervising staff members, including security personnel.

You will also actively participate in facility initiatives that foster a safe and secure environment aligned with our mission of providing comprehensive care and support to individuals seeking recovery.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in a human service setting, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment & recovery, consumer engagement, healthcare, social services, and criminal justice systems.
  • Experience with adult offender/inmate/resident supervision and discipline preferred.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and potentially dangerous situations calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, memos, and policies.
  • Basic understanding of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and agency electronic medical record systems.
