Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Sunflower Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine:

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are ready for patient visits
  • Measuring vital signs and updating patient medical records
  • Assisting patients throughout their visit
  • Providing support to physicians and nurse practitioners
  • Managing phone triage, processing prescriptions, and handling electronic clinical communications
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Access to reliable transportation for occasional travel between facilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical assistant role
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm.
