JOB SUMMARY

The individual in this position is accountable for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, storage areas, and related environments in accordance with Parkhurst standards and protocols, ensuring strict adherence to sanitary practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all kitchen floors, including coolers, dishwashing, bakery, and service areas, are consistently swept and mopped.
  • Operate the dish machine properly, ensuring dishes and silverware are cleaned according to established procedures. Weekly, soak and scrub stained cups.
  • Thoroughly clean all pots, pans, and trays following designated cleaning methods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pot sink area at all times.
  • Conduct regular cleaning of all kitchen equipment in coolers, bakery, dish, and service areas, including de-liming the dish machine weekly.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of china, silverware, trays, cups, and glasses is available during service times.
  • Regularly clean kitchen countertops and polish stainless steel surfaces at least three times a week.
  • Empty all waste receptacles as needed.
  • Wipe down dining tables to maintain cleanliness.
  • Adhere to the cleaning schedule provided by management, employing 'clean as you go' techniques.
  • Assist with catering deliveries and pickups as required.
  • Exercise caution and follow all safety instructions when handling cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain open communication with management regarding the need for products and supplies.
  • Follow the uniform dress code and uphold proper personal hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to all Parkhurst Gold Standards and Hospitality Imperatives.
  • Support fellow team members whenever possible.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Standing and/or walking for 100% of the time.
  • Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs.

The compensation for this position ranges from $13 to $15 per hour.
