Acme Transportation Company is seeking dedicated and experienced CDL A Drivers for our second shift overnight operation (6 PM - 6 AM). This role offers a home daily schedule, ensuring you return home each day after your shift.

As an intermodal driver, you'll primarily handle local pick-ups and deliveries between rail yards and customer locations within a 75-mile radius of our terminal. While occasional trips extending up to 200 miles may occur, the majority of your routes will remain within this localized area.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a commercial truck to transport intermodal containers between designated locations.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with DOT guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo information.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two years of verifiable CDL A driving experience.
  • Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
  • Maintain an excellent driving record with a clean MVR.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety and adherence to DOT regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Intermodal experience is essential for this role.
