The Business Analyst for Foreign Exchange is tasked with the critical role of evaluating and documenting business needs associated with FX trading, risk management, and settlement systems. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of FX markets, outstanding analytical capabilities, and the aptitude to connect business requirements with technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements pertinent to FX trading and risk management systems.
  • Examine existing FX processes and workflows, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
  • Create comprehensive business and functional specifications for new system upgrades or implementations.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure that technical solutions are in alignment with business needs.
  • Perform gap analysis and offer recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Support the design and execution of testing plans to confirm that solutions fulfill business requirements.
  • Remain updated on the latest developments in FX markets and technologies to provide strategic insights to the organization.
  • Serve as a bridge between business users, IT teams, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on Foreign Exchange (FX) markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of FX trading, risk management, and settlement processes.
  • Expertise in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Chicago, IL, and reside within an hour's driving distance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience with FX trading platforms and associated technologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing the FX market.
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
