Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Court Clerk III to join our team at the City of Indianapolis and Marion County, IN. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our court operations, ensuring the smooth processing of cases, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage court filings, including protective orders, new civil cases, and divorce proceedings.
  • Collect and process court fines and fees, including traffic tickets, child support, and bonds.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for information from other agencies and members of the public.
  • Compile and collect documents from cases to ensure compliance with legal regulations and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to four years of previous clerical experience in a court or similar legal setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and protocols.
